TSB 13-6-1	FUEL FILLER NOZZLE SHUTTING OFF BEFORE ADDING 3.8L (1 GALLON) - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4/8/2013

ISSUE:

Some 2013 Fusion and MKZ vehicles built on or before 4/8/2013 may exhibit a customer concern of the fuel filler nozzle shutting off before adding 3.8L (1 gallon).

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Variations in fuel filler nozzles, flow rates and pressure may result in premature shutting off of the fuel filler nozzle, making it difficult to fill the fuel tank.

Does the customer state the fuel filler nozzle consistently shuts off before adding 3.8L (1 gallon) of fuel?
1. Yes - install a new fuel tank filler pipe. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 310-01.
2. No - this article does not apply. Refer to WSM, Section 310-01 for normal diagnosis.
