Draining the Fuel Filter Water Trap (If Equipped)

WARNING: Do not dispose of fuel in the household refuse or the public sewage system. Use an authorized waste disposal facility.

Remove the engine compartment splash shield to access the fuel filter water trap drain tube. Place the end of the drain tube into a suitable container.

Remove the fuel filter top shield.

Loosen the drain plug one to two turns and allow the water to drain.

Tighten the drain plug until you feel a strong resistance.

Replace the fuel filter top shield and the engine compartment splash shield.

When you start the engine the water in fuel indicator lamp turns off after a short period of time.
