The following warning lamps and indicators alert you to a vehicle condition that may become serious. Some lamps illuminate when you start your vehicle to make sure they work. If any lamps remain on after starting your vehicle, refer to the respective system warning lamp for further information.
Note:   Some warning indicators appear in the information display and operate the same as a warning lamp but do not illuminate when you start your vehicle.
Adaptive Cruise Control Indicator (If Equipped)
Adaptive Cruise Control - Set or Identification  It illuminates when you switch the system on. It illuminates white when the system is in standby mode. It illuminates green when you set the adaptive cruise speed.See  Using Adaptive Cruise Control . 
Anti-Lock Braking System Warning Lamp
Antilock Braking System Warning Lamp   If it illuminates when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction.You will continue to have the normal braking system (without anti-lock braking system) unless the brake system warning lamp is also illuminated.Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer.
Automatic High Beam Lamp (If Equipped)
Auto High Beam Indicator  It will illuminate when this feature is on.   See   Automatic High Beam Control
Battery Warning Lamp
Ignition Warning Lamp  If it illuminates when driving, this indicates a malfunction. Switch off all unnecessary electrical equipment. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.
Blind Spot Monitor Indicator (If Equipped)
Blind Spot Detection System  It will illuminate when you switch this feature off or in conjunction with a message.   See   Blind Spot Information System

Brake System Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Driving your vehicle with the warning lamp on is dangerous. A significant decrease in braking performance may occur. It may take you longer to stop your vehicle. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible. Driving extended distances with the parking brake engaged can cause brake failure and the risk of personal injury.

Brake System Warning Lamp  It will illuminate when you engage the parking brake with the ignition on.
If it illuminates when you are driving, check that the parking brake is not engaged. If the parking brake is not engaged, this indicates low brake fluid level or a brake system malfunction. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.
Cruise Control Indicator (If Equipped)
Cruise Control  It will illuminate when you switch this feature on.   See   Using Cruise Control
Distance Alert (If Equipped)
Forward Alert Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the distance to the lead vehicle is small.
Direction Indicator
Direction Indicator Warning Lamp  It illuminates when you switch a direction indicator or the hazard flashers on.If the indicators stay on or flash faster, check for a burnt out bulb.See   Changing a Bulb
Engine Oil Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  If it illuminates when you are driving do not continue your journey, even if the oil level is correct. Have your vehicle checked.

Low Oil Pressure Warning Lamp  If it illuminates with the engine running or when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction. Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and switch the engine off. Check the engine oil level.See   Engine Oil Check

Check Engine
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction.The On Board Diagnostics system has detected a malfunction of the vehicle emission control system.
If it flashes, engine misfire may be occurring. Increased exhaust gas temperatures could damage the catalytic converter or other vehicle components. Drive in a moderate fashion (avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration) and have your vehicle immediately serviced.
Engine System Fault Warning Lamp  Powertrain Warning Lamp
All Vehicles
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction. If it flashes when you are driving, reduce the speed of your vehicle immediately.Drive in a moderate fashion (avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration) and have your vehicle immediately serviced.
 If both lamps illuminate when the engine is running, stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. Continuing to drive your vehicle may cause reduced power or the engine to stop. Switch the ignition off and attempt to restart the engine. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Fasten Seatbelt Warning Lamp
Seat Belt  It illuminates and a chime sounds until you fasten the seatbelts.
Front Airbag Warning Lamp
Airbag  If it fails to illuminate when you start your vehicle, continues to flash or remains on, it indicates a malfunction. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer.
Front Fog Lamps Indicator
Front Fog Lamp Indicator  It will illuminate when you switch the front fog lamps on.
Frost warning lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Even if the temperature rises to above 4 °C (39 °F) there is no guarantee that the road is free of hazards caused by inclement weather.

Frost Warning Lamp  It will illuminate when the outside air temperature is 4 °C (39 °F) or below.
Glow Plug Indicator

High Beam Indicator
High Beam Indicator  It will illuminate when you switch the high beam headlamps on. It will flash when you use the headlamp flasher.
Information Indicator
Message Centre Warning Lamp  It will illuminate when a new message is stored in the information display. It will be red or amber in color depending on the severity of the message and will remain on until the cause of the message has been rectified.   See   Information Messages
Lane Keeping System Indicator
Lane Departure Warning Lamp  It will illuminate when this feature is switched off or in conjunction with a message.   See   Lane Keeping System
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp  If it illuminates, refuel as soon as possible.
Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp
Low Tire Pressure Indicator  It illuminates when your tire pressure is low. If the lamp remains on with the engine running or when driving, check your tire pressure as soon as possible.
It also illuminates momentarily when you switch the ignition on to confirm the lamp is functional. If it does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, or begins to flash at any time, have the system checked by your authorized dealer.
Headlamp and Parking Lamp Indicator
Lamps ON Indicator  It will illuminate when you switch the headlamps or parking lamps on.
Rear Fog Lamps Indicator (If Equipped)
Rear Fog Lamp Indicator  It will illuminate when you switch the rear fog lamps on.
Shift Indicator
Shift Up  Image Shown Without Description  It will illuminate to inform you that shifting to a higher or lower gear as indicated may give better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. It will not illuminate during periods of high acceleration, braking or when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Stability Control Off Indicator
Stability Control System OFF  It illuminates when you switch the system off.
It will go out when you switch the system back on or when you switch the ignition off.
Stability Control Warning Lamp
Stability Control Indicator Lamp  It will flash when the system is active. If it remains illuminated or does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, this indicates a malfunction. During a malfunction the system will switch off. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.
Start-Stop Indicator
Auto Start/Stop  It will illuminate to inform you when the engine shuts down or in conjunction with a message.   See   Auto-Start-Stop
