Changing a Bulb - 5-Door
WARNING:
Switch the lamps and the ignition off. Failure to follow this warning could result in serious personal injury.

Note:
Only fit bulbs of the correct specification.
Note:
The following instructions describe how to remove the bulbs. Fit replacements in the reverse order unless otherwise stated.
Headlamp
A Headlamp low beam.B Headlamp high beam and side lampC Front direction indicator. |
Note:
Remove the covers to gain access to the bulbs.
Headlamp Low Beam
- Remove the headlamp. See Removing a Headlamp.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the clip and remove the bulb.
Note:
Do not touch the glass of the bulb.
Headlamp High Beam
- Remove the headlamp. See Removing a Headlamp.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Turn the bulb counterclockwise and remove it.
Note:
Do not touch the glass of the bulb.
Front Side Lamp
- Remove the headlamp. See Removing a Headlamp.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Remove the bulb holder.
- Remove the bulb.
Direction Indicator
- Remove the headlamp. See Removing a Headlamp.
- Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
- Gently press the bulb into the bulb holder, turn it counterclockwise and remove it.
Daytime Running Lamps
Note:
This is not a serviceable item, see an authorized dealer if it fails.
Side Repeater
- Press the side of the cover to release the clips.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Remove the bulb holder. Remove the bulb.
Approach Lamps (If Equipped)
Note:
This is not a serviceable item, see an authorized dealer if it fails.
Front Fog Lamps
- Remove the retaining clips to gain access to the lamp assembly.
Note:
You cannot separate the fog lamp bulb from the bulb holder.
- Use a suitable tool, for example a screwdriver, to carefully remove the housing cover.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the lamp.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
LED Lamps
LED lamps are not serviceable items. See an authorized dealer if they fail.
The following lamps are LED:- Rear lamp.
Rear Lamps
- Remove the screws.
- Lift up the luggage compartment seal.
- Remove the carpet.
- Remove the wing nut.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
- Gently press the bulb into the bulb holder, turn it counterclockwise and remove it.
- Direction indicator.
- Brake.
- Reverse.
Central High Mounted Brake Lamp
Note:
This is not a serviceable item, see an authorized dealer if it fails.
License Plate Lamp
- Carefully release the spring clip.
- Remove the lamp.
- Remove the bulb.
Interior Lamps
Note:
Do not remove the lamp lens.
- Use a suitable tool, for example a screwdriver, to carefully remove the lamp.
- Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
- Remove the bulb.
Reading Lamps
Note:
Do not remove the lamp lens.
- Use a suitable tool, for example a screwdriver, to carefully remove the lamp.
- Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
- Remove the bulb.
Luggage Compartment Lamp, Footwell Lamp and Liftgate Lamp
- Use a suitable tool, for example a screwdriver, to carefully remove the lamp.
- Remove the bulb.
