Maintenance - Changing a Bulb

Changing a Bulb

WARNING: Switch the lamps and the ignition off. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
WARNING

WARNING: Bulbs can become hot. Let the bulb cool down before removing it. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

Use the correct specification bulb. See Bulb Specification Chart. Install in the reverse order unless otherwise stated.

Headlamp

Headlamp low beam. Headlamp high beam.

Front Direction Indicator and Front Parking Lamp

Switch all of the lamps and the ignition off.

Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.

Headlamp Low Beam and Headlamp High Beam

Note: If your vehicle has high-intensity discharge headlamps, these lamps operate at a high voltage.See an authorized dealer if they fail.

Switch all of the lamps and the ignition off.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

Note: You cannot separate the bulb from the bulb holder.

Note: Do not touch the bulb glass.

Front Fog Lamp (If Equipped)

Switch all of the lamps and the ignition off.

Use suitable tools, for example a screwdriver and a socket wrench, to remove the wheel arch liner fixings. Carefully reposition the wheel arch liner to access to the front fog lamp bulb and electrical connector.

Note: To remove the lower push pin, use a flat-bladed screwdriver to pull up the center release pin.
