Changing the 12V Battery
WARNING:
For vehicles with Auto-Start-Stop the battery requirement is different. You must replace the battery with one of exactly the same specification. |
The battery is located in the engine compartment.
To remove and install the battery:
- Loosen the nuts from the terminals. Remove the negative battery cable (2) first, then the positive battery cable (1).
- Remove the three nuts from the clamp.
- Remove the battery.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Note:
The acid solution and lead contained in the battery, if discarded improperly in nature, can contaminate soil, subsoil and water, as well as cause damage to human health.
