Adding Engine Oil
Only add engine oil that meets the defined specification and viscosity grade in small quantities of no more than 0.6 L (0 gal). To avoid overfilling, wait for one minute after each refill step to allow the engine oil to flow into the oil pan and register on the engine oil dipstick. See   Engine Oil Check
Specifications
Use oil and fluid that meets the defined specification and viscosity grade. Using other fluids could result in damage not covered by the vehicle Warranty.

If you do not use oil and fluid that meets the defined specification and viscosity grade, it could result in:
  • Component damage which may not be covered by the vehicle Warranty.
  • Longer engine cranking periods.
  • Increased emission levels.
  • Reduced engine performance.
  • Reduced fuel economy.
