Een dieselmotor starten - Automatische transmissie
Voordat u uw auto start, controleert u het volgende:
Controlelampje motorstoring
Waarschuwingslampje aandrijflijn
WAARSCHUWING:
Gebruik geen startvloeistof, bijvoorbeeld ether, in het luchtinlaatsysteem. Dergelijke vloeistof kan onmiddellijke motorschade door explosie en eventuele verwondingen veroorzaken. |
Voordat u uw auto start, controleert u het volgende:
- Controleer of de koplampen en de elektrische accessoires uit zijn.
- Controleer of de parkeerrem aangetrokken is.
- Controleer of de transmissie in de parkeerstand (P) staat.
De motor starten
- Zet de sleutel in stand II.
- Wacht tot de controlelamp gloeibougies uitgaat.
- Trap het rempedaal volledig in.
N.B.:
Druk het gaspedaal niet in.
- Zet de sleutel in stand III.
N.B.:
Als u het rempedaal loslaat terwijl de motor start, stopt het starten van de motor en keert het contact terug naar aan.
N.B.:
Als de temperatuur lager is dan -15 °C, moet u de motor eventueel max. 10 seconden doorstarten.
N.B.:
U kunt de motor slechts beperkte tijd proberen te starten voordat het startsysteem tijdelijk wordt uitgeschakeld. Als u de tijdslimiet voor het starten overschrijdt, wordt wellicht een bericht weergegeven en kunt u de motor minstens 15 minuten niet proberen te starten.
Motor slaat niet aan
Ga als volgt te werk als de motor niet start:
- Trap het rempedaal volledig in.
- Schakel de parkeerrem in.
- Schakel naar de parkeerstand (P).
- Draai de sleutel in stand III tot de motor start.
Motor stoppen bij stilstaande auto
- Schakel naar de parkeerstand (P).
- Zet de sleutel in stand 0.
- Schakel de parkeerrem in.
Motor stoppen bij rijdende auto

WAARSCHUWING:
Afzetten van de motor terwijl nog met de auto wordt gereden, leidt tot aanzienlijk verlies van rembekrachtiging. Er is meer kracht nodig om de remmen in te schakelen en uw auto tot stilstand te brengen. De stuurbekrachtiging kan ook aanzienlijk verminderd zijn. De stuurinrichting wordt niet geblokkeerd, maar er kan meer stuurkracht nodig zijn voor uw auto. Wanneer u het contact uitschakelt, kunnen sommige elektrische circuits, bijvoorbeeld airbags, ook worden uitgeschakeld. Als u het contact per ongeluk uitschakelt, kunt u de transmissie in neutraal (N) zetten en de motor opnieuw starten. |
- Schakel naar neutraal (N).
- Zet de sleutel in stand 0.
- Gebruik de remmen om de auto veilig tot stilstand te brengen.
- Schakel naar de parkeerstand (P).
- Schakel de parkeerrem in.
Beschermen tegen uitlaatgassen

WAARSCHUWING:
Door uitlaatlekkages kunnen schadelijke en eventueel dodelijke gassen in het interieur dringen. Ruikt u uitlaatgassen in uw auto, laat de auto dan onmiddellijk controleren. Rijd niet als u uitlaatgassen ruikt. |
Belangrijke informatie over ventileren
Wanneer u uw auto stopt en de motor gedurende langere tijd stationair laat draaien, raden we aan dat u een van de volgende handelingen uitvoert:- Open de ramen ten minste 3 cm.
- Stel uw klimaatregeling in op buitenlucht.

Brandt het lampje, wacht dan tot het lampje dooft voordat u de motor start. |

Als dit lampje brandt terwijl de motor draait, wijst dit op een storing.Het systeem voor on-board diagnose heeft een storing gedetecteerd met het systeem voor de emissieregeling. Laat de auto zo snel mogelijk controleren.
Waarschuwingslampje aandrijflijn Als dit lampje brandt terwijl de motor draait, wijst dit op een storing.Als deze lamp tijdens het rijden knippert, verlaag de rijsnelheid dan onmiddellijk.Vermijd snel optrekken en hard afremmen en laat uw auto onmiddellijk repareren.
Als beide lampjes branden terwijl de motor draait, brengt u de auto zo snel mogelijk tot stilstand wanneer dit veilig kan. Doet u dit niet, dan kan dit leiden tot verminderd vermogen en afslaan van de motor. Zet het contact uit en probeer de motor te starten.Laat uw auto onmiddellijk controleren.
