The following warning lamps and indicators alert you to a vehicle condition that may become serious. Some lamps illuminate when you start your vehicle to make sure they work. If any lamps remain on after starting your vehicle, refer to the respective system warning lamp for further information.
Note:   Some warning indicators appear in the information display and operate the same as a warning lamp but do not illuminate when you start your vehicle.
Adaptive Cruise Control (If Equipped)
Adaptive Cruise Control - Set or Identification  The adaptive cruise control indicator light changes color to indicate what mode the system is in:   See   Using Adaptive Cruise Control - Vehicles Without: Stop and Go
On (white light): Illuminates when the adaptive cruise control system is turned on. Turns off when the adaptive cruise control is turned off.
Engaged (green light): Illuminates when the adaptive cruise control system is engaged. Turns off when the adaptive cruise control is disengaged.
Anti-Lock Braking System Warning Lamp
Antilock Braking System Warning Lamp   If it illuminates when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction.You will continue to have the normal braking system (without anti-lock braking system) unless the brake system warning lamp is also illuminated.Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer.
Automatic High Beam Lamp (If Equipped)
Auto High Beam Indicator  Illuminates when this feature is on.   See   Automatic High Beam Control
Auto Start-stop (If Equipped)
Auto Start/Stop  Illuminates to inform you when the engine shuts down or in conjunction with a message.
Battery Warning Lamp
Ignition Warning Lamp  If it illuminates when driving, this indicates a malfunction. Switch off all unnecessary electrical equipment. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.
Blind Spot Monitor Indicator (If Equipped)
Blind Spot Information System OFF Icon  Illuminates when you switch this feature off or in conjunction with a message.   See   Blind Spot Information System

Brake System Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Driving your vehicle with the warning lamp on is dangerous. A significant decrease in braking performance may occur. It may take you longer to stop your vehicle. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible. Driving extended distances with the parking brake engaged can cause brake failure and the risk of personal injury.

This lamp is a dual-function lamp and illuminates when:
  • You apply the parking brake with the ignition on.
  • Your vehicle has a brake fault or low brake fluid level, regardless of parking brake position.
Brake System Warning Lamp  If the lamp illuminates when you are moving, you may have the parking brake applied. Make sure the parking brake is off. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible if the lamp continues to illuminate.
Cruise Control (If Equipped)
Cruise Control  Illuminates when you switch this feature on.   See   Using Cruise Control
Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Diesel Exhaust Fluid   It illuminates when the AdBlue level is low. If the AdBlue® level is sufficient, this indicates a system malfunction.See   Selective Catalytic Reductant System - 2.0L EcoBlue
Direction Indicator
Direction Indicator Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the left or right direction indicator or the hazard warning flasher is turned on. If the indicators stay on or flash faster, check for a burnt out bulb.
Door Ajar
Powertrain Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the vehicle is on and any door is not completely closed.
Electric Park Brake
Electric Park Brake  Illuminates when the electric parking brake has a malfunction.
Engine Coolant Temperature
Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the engine or motor coolant temperature is high. Stop your vehicle as soon as possible and contact your authorized dealer.
Engine Oil Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  If it illuminates when you are driving do not continue your journey, even if the oil level is correct. Have your vehicle checked.

Low Oil Pressure Warning Lamp  If it illuminates with the engine running or when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction. Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and switch the engine off. Check the engine oil level.See   Engine Oil Check
Engine Warning Lamps
Engine Warning Lamp  Malfunction Indicator Lamp
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction.The On Board Diagnostics system has detected a malfunction of the vehicle emission control system.
If it flashes, engine misfire may be occurring. Increased exhaust gas temperatures could damage the catalytic converter or other vehicle components. Drive in a moderate fashion (avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration) and have your vehicle immediately serviced.
Engine System Fault Warning Lamp  Powertrain Warning Lamp
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction. If it flashes when you are driving, reduce the speed of your vehicle immediately.Drive in a moderate fashion (avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration) and have your vehicle immediately serviced.
 If both lamps illuminate when the engine is running, stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. Continuing to drive your vehicle may cause reduced power or the engine to stop. Switch the ignition off and attempt to restart the engine.Have your vehicle immediately checked.
Fasten Seatbelt Warning Lamp
Seat Belt  Illuminates and a chime will sound to remind you to fasten your seatbelt.   See   Seatbelt Reminder
Front Airbag Warning Lamp
Airbag  If the warning lamp does not illuminate during start up, remains on or flashes, the system may be disabled.
Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer.
Front Fog Lamps Indicator (If Equipped)
Front Fog Lamp Indicator  Illuminates when you switch the front fog lamps on.
Frost Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Even if the temperature rises to above 4 °C (39 °F) there is no guarantee that the road is free of hazards caused by inclement weather.

Frost Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the outside air temperature is 39°F (4°C) or below.
Fuel Operated Heater Enabled
Image Shown Without Description  Illuminates when you switch the fuel operated heater on.
Fuel Operated Heater Operating
Image Shown Without Description  Illuminates to inform you the fuel operated heater is currently in operation.
Glow Plug Indicator
Diesel Pre-Heat Warning  With the key in the on position, Illuminates when the glow plug heat is necessary as a starting aid. Wait until the light goes off before starting.
After you start the engine, the light should turn off. When the engine is cold, the light should always light for a short period.
High Beam Indicator
High Beam Indicator  Illuminates when you switch the high beam headlamps on. It will flash when you use the headlamp flasher.
Hill Start Assist Indicator
Hill Start Assist Indicator  Illuminates when the system is not available.
Hood Ajar
Hood Ajar  Illuminates when the ignition is on and the hood is not completely closed.
Lane Keeping Aid (If Equipped)
Lane Keeping Aid Indicator  Illuminates when you activate the lane keeping system.
Liftgate Ajar
Liftgate Icon  Illuminates when the liftgate is not completely closed.
Low Beam Malfunction
Low Beam Malfunction  Illuminates when there is a malfunction with the low beam headlamp bulb.
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp  If it illuminates when you are driving, refuel as soon as possible.
Low Tire Pressure Warning
Low Tire Pressure Indicator  Illuminates when your tire pressure is low. If the lamp remains on with the engine running or when driving, check your tire pressure as soon as possible.
It will also light momentarily when you switch the ignition on to confirm the lamp is functional. If it does not light when you switch the ignition on, or begins to flash at any time, have the system checked by an authorized dealer.
Low Washer Fluid
Low Washer Fluid Warning Lamp  Illuminates when the windshield washer fluid is low.
Headlamp and Parking Lamp Indicator
Lamps ON Indicator  Illuminates when you switch the headlamps or parking lamps on.
Rear Fog Lamps Indicator
Rear Fog Lamp Indicator  Illuminates when you switch the rear fog lamps on.
Shift Indicator
Shift Up  Image Shown Without Description  Illuminates to inform you that shifting to a higher or lower gear as indicated may give better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. It will not illuminate during periods of high acceleration, braking or when the clutch pedal is pressed.
Speed Limiter
LIM Icon  Illuminates when you switch on the speed limiter system.   See   Speed Limiter - Vehicles With: Adaptive Cruise Control
Stability Control Warning Lamp
Traction Control ON and OFF Button  It will flash when the system is active. If it remains illuminated or does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, this indicates a malfunction. During a malfunction the system will switch off. Have your vehicle checked by an authorized dealer immediately.   See   Using Stability Control
Stability Control Off Indicator
Stability Control System OFF  Illuminates when you switch the system off. It will go out when you switch the system back on or when you switch the ignition off.See   Using Stability Control
Traffic Sign Recognition No Passing (If Equipped)
Traffic Sign Condition  Illuminates when a no passing sign is detected by the traffic sign recognition system.
Traffic Sign Recognition Speed Limit (If Equipped)
Traffic Sign - Speed Limit  Illuminates when the current speed limit is detected by the traffic sign recognition system. If the traffic sign speed warning is enabled, the light flashes when you have exceeded the speed limit detected by the traffic sign recognition system.
Water-In-Fuel (If Equipped)
Water/Moisture in Fuel System  Illuminates when there is excess water in the fuel filter. Drain off the water immediately.
