Vertical Aim Adjustment
  1. Park your vehicle on a level surface approximately 25 ft (7.6 m) away from a vertical wall or screen.
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  1. Measure the height from the center of your headlamp to the ground.
Note:   There may be an identifying mark on the lens to help you locate the center of the headlamp low beam light.
  1. Mark a horizontal reference line on the wall or screen that is a minimum of 8 ft (2.4 m) long.
  1. Switch the low beam headlamps on and open the hood.
Headlamp Beam Vehicle Off Road Pattern
  1. On the wall or screen you will observe a flat zone of high intensity light located at the top of the right hand portion of the beam pattern. If the top edge of the high intensity light zone is not at the horizontal reference line, the headlamp will need to be adjusted.
Note:   To see a clearer light pattern while adjusting one headlamp, block the light from the other headlamp.
Adjusting the Headlamps
  1. Locate the vertical adjuster on each headlamp. Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to turn the adjuster either clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the vertical aim of the headlamp.
  1. Repeat Steps 3 through 7 to adjust the other headlamp.
  1. Close the hood and turn off the lamps.
