The following warning lamps and indicators alert you to a vehicle condition that may become serious. Some lamps illuminate when you start your vehicle to make sure they work. If any lamps remain on after starting your vehicle, refer to the respective system warning lamp for further information.
Note:   Some warning indicators appear in the information display and operate the same as a warning lamp but do not illuminate when you start your vehicle.
12V Battery Charging Condition Warning Lamp
Ignition Warning Lamp  It illuminates when you switch the ignition on.
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Adaptive Cruise Control Indicator (If Equipped)
Adaptive Cruise Control - Set or Identification  It illuminates when you switch the system on.
 It illuminates white when the system is in standby mode. It illuminates green when you set the adaptive cruise speed.
Airbag Warning Lamp
Airbag   If it does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, continues to flash or remains on when the engine is running, this indicates a malfunction. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Anti-Lock Brake System Warning Lamp
Antilock Braking System Warning Lamp   If it illuminates when you are driving, this indicates a malfunction. Your vehicle continues to have normal braking without the anti-lock brake system function. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Automatic Headlamp High Beam Indicator (If Equipped)
Auto High Beam Indicator  It illuminates when the system turns the headlamp high beam on.
Auto-Start-Stop Indicator
Auto Start/Stop  It illuminates green when the engine stops. It flashes amber and a message appears when you need to take an action.Auto-Start-Stop Not Available Indicator  It illuminates grey with a strike out when the system is not available.
Note:   You can display the reason why the system is not available in the information display.
Blind Spot Information System Indicator (If Equipped)
Blind Spot Detection System  It illuminates when you switch the system off.
Brake Pad Wear Warning Lamp
Image Shown Without Description   It illuminates when the brake pads have worn down to a predetermined limit. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Brake System Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Driving your vehicle with the warning lamp on is dangerous. A significant decrease in braking performance may occur. It may take you longer to stop your vehicle. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible. Driving extended distances with the parking brake engaged can cause brake failure and the risk of personal injury.

Brake System Warning Lamp  It illuminates when you engage the parking brake and the ignition is on.
 If it illuminates when your vehicle is moving, make sure the parking brake is disengaged. If the parking brake is disengaged, this indicates low brake fluid level or a brake system fault.Have your vehicle immediately checked.
Change Engine Oil Indicator
Change Engine Oil  It displays when the engine oil life is becoming depleted. Have the engine oil changed as soon as possible.
Note:   Do not ignore engine oil change indicators and information messages. Resulting component damage is not covered by the Warranty.
Change Engine Oil Now Indicators
Change Engine Oil  Non Emission Powetrain Fault  If both indicators display, the engine oil life is seriously depleted. Engine torque reduces to 70% to further indicate the serious risk of engine damage. Have the engine oil changed immediately.
Note:   Do not ignore engine oil change indicators and information messages. Resulting component damage is not covered by the Warranty.
Coolant Temperature Warning Lamp
Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Lamp  If it illuminates when your vehicle is moving, this indicates a system malfunction.Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and switch your vehicle off. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Cruise Control Indicator
Cruise Control  It illuminates when you switch the system on.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid Warning Lamp
Diesel Exhaust Fluid Level Low   It illuminates when the diesel exhaust fluid is low.If the level is sufficient, this indicates a system malfunction. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.See   Selective Catalytic Reductant System
Direction Indicator
Direction Indicator Warning Lamp  It illuminates when you switch a direction indicator or the hazard flashers on. Flashes during operation. An increase in the rate of flashing warns of a failed indicator bulb.
Door Ajar Warning Lamp
Doors Ajar  It illuminates when you switch the ignition on and remains on if any door or the hood is open.
Engine Warning Lamps
Engine Warning Lamp  Malfunction Indicator Lamp
Check Engine
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction.If it flashes when you are driving, immediately reduce the vehicle speed.Avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration and have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Non Emission Powetrain Fault  Powertrain Warning Lamp
 If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction.If it flashes when you are driving, immediately reduce the vehicle speed.Avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration and have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
 If both lamps illuminate when the engine is running, stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. Continuing to drive your vehicle may cause reduced power or the engine to stop. Switch the ignition off and attempt to restart the engine. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Fasten Seatbelt Warning Lamp
Seat Belt  It illuminates and a chime sounds until you fasten the seatbelts.
Front Fog Lamp Indicator
Front Fog Lamp Indicator  It illuminates when you switch the front fog lamps on.
Frost Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  Even if the temperature rises to above 4 °C there is no guarantee that the road is free of hazards caused by inclement weather.

Frost Warning Lamp  It illuminates when the outside air temperature is 4 °C or below.
Glow Plug Indicator
Diesel Pre-Heat Warning  If it illuminates, wait until it turns off before starting.
Headlamp High Beam Indicator
High Beam Indicator  It illuminates when you switch the headlamp high beam on.
Lamps on Indicator
Lamps ON Indicator  It illuminates when you switch the headlamp low beam or the side and rear lamps on.
Lane Keeping Alert Indicator
Lane Departure Warning Lamp  It illuminates when you switch the system on.
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp  If it illuminates when you are driving, refuel as soon as possible.
Low Tire Pressure Warning Lamp (If Equipped)
Low Tire Pressure Indicator  It illuminates if the tire pressure in one or more tires is below the correct tire pressure.

Oil Pressure Warning Lamp
WARNING   WARNING:  If it illuminates when you are driving do not continue your journey, even if the oil level is correct. Have your vehicle checked.

Low Oil Pressure Warning Lamp   If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction. Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and switch the engine off. Check the engine oil level.See   Engine Oil Check
 If the oil level is sufficient, this indicates a system malfunction.Have your vehicle immediately checked.
Pre-Collision Assist Warning Lamp
Forward Alert Warning Lamp  It illuminates if your vehicle rapidly approaches another vehicle, to warn you of the risk of a crash with the vehicle in front of you.
It could illuminate red if the distance to the vehicle ahead is small.
It illuminates amber when you switch the system off.
It illuminates when the system is not available.
Ready to Drive Indicator
Image Shown Without Description   It illuminates when you switch your vehicle on and it is ready to drive. A message may appear in the information display.
Rear Fog Lamp Indicator
Rear Fog Lamp Indicator  It illuminates when you switch the rear fog lamps on.
Secondary Interior Heater Indicator

Shift Indicator
Shift Up  Image Shown Without Description  It illuminates to advise you that shifting to a higher or lower gear may give better performance, fuel economy or lower emissions.
Stability Control and Traction Control Indicator
Traction Control ON and OFF Button  Flashes during operation.
 If it does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, or remains on when the engine is running, this indicates a malfunction. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Note:   The system is designed to turn off if it detects a malfunction.

Stability Control and Traction Control Off Warning Lamp
Stability Control System OFF  It illuminates when you switch the system off.
Stop Safely Warning Lamp
Stop Safely  It illuminates if your vehicle has an electrical component fault or failure that causes the vehicle to shutdown or enter into a limited operating mode. A message may appear in the information display.
Vehicle Plugged in Indicator
Vehicle Plugged In  It illuminates when your vehicle is plugged in. A message may appear in the information display after attempting to start your vehicle.
Note:   This does not indicate that your vehicle is charging.
Water In Fuel Warning Lamp
Water/Moisture in Fuel System  If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates there is excess water in the fuel filter.
