Stopping the Engine
Stop your vehicle, keep your foot on the brake pedal and the transmission in drive (D).
Note:
The engine stops when you shift into park (P) or neutral (N) whether you have your foot on the brake pedal or not.
Note:
Power assist steering turns off when the engine stops.
