Front Axle Fluid Capacity and Specification

Use fluid that meets the defined specification and viscosity grade.

If you do not use fluid that meets the defined specification and viscosity grade, it could result in:

Component damage that your vehicle warranty does not cover.
Reduced vehicle performance.

Capacities

Variant	Quantity
With standard front axle.	1.7 L (1.8 qt)
With Tremor Torsen axle.¹	1.55 L (1.6 qt)

¹For complete refill of our limited slip axles, add 4 fl oz (118 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier XL-3 or equivalent meeting specification EST-M2C118-A. Include this friction modifier in the total fluid capacity. Our rear axles contain a synthetic lubricant that does not require changing unless you submerge the axle in water.
